Q: What is the purpose of the Charger?
A: In simple terms, AnyFill speed charger will charge 95% of mobile phone batteries in 10 – 30 minutes depending on the state of the battery.
Q: How does it charge a battery?
A: Using patented technology AnyFill charger will locate the “pins” on the battery, identify the type of battery and check the battery’s protection circuit and the residual charge. Having achieved this, it will commence rapid charge at the optimum rate for that battery. Indicator lights on the top of the unit show the progress of the charge.
Q: How long does it actually take?
A: Charge time will vary according to the residual charge in the battery. The unit can be set for either a 20-minute or a 30-minute MAXIMUM cycle. Most batteries will have taken at least a 50% charge after 10 minutes. Many will have taken more.
Q: Is it safe for my battery?
A: Firstly, the battery is detached from the phone, which is a major benefit. Secondly, the safe limit of charge for a Lithium battery is 4.35 volts. AnyFill charger begins charging at 3 volts working quickly to a MAXIMUM of 4.2 volts. Using Pulse Wide Modulation the onboard processor checks this every 10 to the power of minus 5 seconds – that’s constantly to most of us – to ensure that this is never exceeded. The battery cannot overheat. Also, the charger automatically disconnects when full charge is reached. Most low-grade speed chargers ignore both of these essential safety features.
Q: I have a battery that won’t charge
A: If AnyFill charger will not accept a certain battery it is for one of three reasons:
1. The battery is defective. i.e. the protection circuit is damaged. AnyFill charger will NOT recognize such a battery. This is a deliberately included feature to prevent possible liability issues where a customer maintains that the store has ruined his battery and demanding a new one when the battery was defective in the first place
2. The battery is 100% flat. i.e. it has been unused for several months. In this case AnyFill charger is programmed to reject the battery as it may also be defective (see above). In this instance simply subject the battery to a couple of minutes trickle charge. This will be sufficient to allow AnyFill charger to recognize the battery.
3. The contact pins on the battery fall outside the scanning area of AnyFill charger. Some batteries for older models may fall into this category as will those with pins located on the side of the battery rather than the more usual end or bottom. If in doubt, check the battery against the template supplied with your AnyFill charger. If this is the case it is not possible to charge the battery using the AnyFill charger.
Q: The charger keeps ejecting the battery
A: AnyFill charger will move the battery within the compartment in order to identify the contact pins. However, it can only achieve this if the battery is inserted the correct way round (i.e. with the contact pins first and if located on the bottom of the battery, on the underside).
Q: I have no need of the vocal instructions
A: There is a switch on the rear of the unit, which allows you to turn the vocal instructions off.
